Chil Park
Currently in the planning stage this extension to the settlement of Fremington provides much needed housing for a Parish Council that have declared a housing crisis. This 101-unit scheme provides 30% affordable provision with a mix of 1 to 4 bed family homes together with dedicated ecological areas and community play spaces.

Woolmers Farm
The first phase is completed, the second phase commenced on site in July 2024. This is a scheme of 50 affordable and open market homes set around a Village Green and dedicated ecological swale. The allocated site in the North Devon and Torridge Local Plan is located part within a conservation area and the palette of materials for the homes were sensitively chosen because of this.

Knowle
This edge of village setting provided the opportunity to create the architectural form and layout of a traditional Farmstead. This project sought to provide a new ‘farmhouse’ with associated modern barn conversion style homes set around a block paved courtyard. Instow
On the Edge of Instow this high quality 5 home scheme was designed considering on a number of physical and historic constraints including views to and from the church of St John the Baptist of Instow to the Southeast. Upside down living with vaulted ceilings provide stunning views across the estuary to Lundy.

Filleigh
The key design rationale for this site was centred around a mature oak tree that was important to retain. The dwellings are set out as such to make a feature out of the key landscape asset. The architectural material palette makes use of a rural aesthetic to reflect the surroundings.

Anchorwood View
Woodward Smith Chartered Architects were commissioned by Chichester Developments Ltd to provide a 34-home bungalow development on the edge of Barnstaple with views over the river Taw. Market Gardens
Whilst a challenging urban setting for a new Courtyard development in Torrington, N Devon, this development represented some real opportunities in conservation design. Glove Factory
This conversion project within the area of Pilton provided Woodward Smith Chartered Architects with the opportunity to prepare proposals for a regeneration of the former factory into nine apartments.
